Merry Christmas and a Joyful Journey into 2025

Merry Christmas and march into 2025 with love

Of course, I was going to write something for Christmas!

Merry Christmas to every one of you who reads this blog - wishing you and your loved ones a joyful season.

I haven’t written as consistently this month because I’ve been busy preparing for this year’s Christmas, which has turned out to be one of the best I’ve experienced since moving away from my birthplace.

In the past, Christmases have been quite difficult for me. At times, I’ve felt left out when seeing how others celebrate the season. But this Christmas was different; it was the first one where I truly felt connected. I felt like I was part of something meaningful. I realized that there are people who genuinely see me and appreciate me - not for what I can give them but simply for who I am.

Hearing that was wonderful, but feeling it was even better. That experience inspired this post for the season.

Christmas is about love; true, unconditional love.

It’s a time to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, who Christians believe loved us so much that He chose to dwell among us, guiding us toward a better way despite our weaknesses and inconsistencies.

This love, unlike other forms of love (which often come with conditions), is what Christmas is truly about. It’s the realization that you are deeply loved and have infinite value simply for being yourself - for existing.

Owning things, making money, and surrounding yourself with supportive people are all important, but these are not prerequisites for understanding your worth. You are special just the way you are.

I know it can be hard to accept that, it may even sound naïve. You might wonder, Why am I special? Especially if your life feels devoid of the things you think you need to see your worth.

But here’s the truth: You are special because God created you special. He loved you enough to send His Son to die for your sins and show you a better way. Even those who seem to have everything; wealth, success, relationships; can still feel empty.

You didn’t earn or achieve anything to deserve this love; it was freely given. And that’s the real joy and significance of Christmas!

Christmas isn’t about perfection; it’s about love and connection.
Some people believe they can only celebrate Christmas when their lives are going perfectly. Others dread the season because it reminds them of loneliness, dysfunctional relationships, or feelings of inadequacy.

But this mindset misses the essence of Christmas. Regardless of what you have or don’t have, Christmas is a reminder that you are loved and special. You don’t need perfect circumstances to embrace this truth; it already exists.

That’s why Christmas is such a beautiful season, filled with love and joy. Even if you feel like you have no one to share it with, remember that this is just a mindset. You can share the joy of Christmas with anyone, even a stranger.

Don’t let negative thoughts ruin this season for you. Christmas is for everyone. It’s a time to reflect on the love that surrounds you, even if you can’t always see it.

Celebrate the imperfections.
Yes, our world is imperfect, and so are our lives. But instead of hating the imperfections, strive to create beauty within them. Embrace where they lead you, and you might even find yourself grateful for them.

This mindset - accepting love and celebrating life despite its flaws - is what brings true joy. Start by knowing you are loved for who you are. If no one has told you that, I’m telling you now, and I pray you believe it.

From this foundation of love, you’ll naturally want to share your joy with others; and that’s the essence of Christmas.

If you focus on what you feel is missing, be it finances, relationships, career success, or family; you’ll lose sight of the joy of this season. The things you lack will come in time, but it starts with setting your mindset right. When your heart is in the right place, everything else falls into place.

So, let go of the negativity this Christmas. Make an effort to enjoy the season and share your joy with someone; anyone!

Merry Christmas and a wonderful New Year ahead!
I hope to share more meaningful posts with you in the coming year. From all of us here at Bold Winners (which is just me, myself, and I), have a lovely Christmas filled with love and joy.
